Post 6: Postgraduate Studies
Postgraduate Studies
In the future, I would like to do a postgraduate degree in oncological psychology, one of the reasons to study this is that it is a branch of psychology that does not have many specialists because there are no universities dedicated to teaching this postgraduate course, however, starting this year, the Universidad de Chile takes on the challenge and will teach on oncological psychology.
In addition, a personal reason that I have for studying this is that my grandmother died of cancer and never received psychological help, so I think that it is very important for the treatment of the disease that there is psychological support by a specialist who has a training for that specific disease, so that you can improve your quality of life.
Considering that since this year the University of Chile has this specialty, I would like to study it in our country, so that I can be close to my family. Regarding the study modality, I am not sure which one I would choose, since it will depend if I have a job, if that were the case I would like a blended system or part-time course, so that I can have time to do both.
Finally, I believe that dedicating myself to this area will have a great emotional charge, but despite that, I believe that it would generate emotional satisfaction for me to be able to contribute tools so that the patient has a greater emotional well-being, despite his illness.
Wow how interesting that specialty sounds :0000
ResponderEliminarI'm glad that the University of Chile has integrated it to its postgraduate unit.
