Post 7: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME 

In general, I think that the program of studies of the race is quite good because it covers different areas of psychology and even in the first year we see subjects related to philosophy and history. However, I would change the transversal courses for others, such as a professional ethics course.

Regarding the workload in some subjects, it is usually very high, having to do readings, see recorded capsules and connect to the live class. Probably this in a face-to-face context is different, but this is what I have been able to demonstrate in my experience that it has been completely online. In addition, I believe that the duration of the university studies are adequate because there is a large amount of content that we must review.

I cannot give an opinion on the faculty, facilities since I have only gone once and saw it from the outside. However, I have been told that some of the classrooms are small considering the number of students.

Regarding the use of technology, it seems to me that in the online context, it is appropriate since they have an application and a website where you can access the content of the classes and communicate with the teachers. In addition, they have an online library that is useful for when one needs articles to do research or essays.

As I have only been to the university online, I do not know what the use of technology will be like in person.

Finally, I think that the teaching method has been good, since both the classes and the complementary material are usually quite explanatory, and the complementary material is quite useful to learn about those topics that are not so clear. However, due to the context of the pandemic, we have not had practical experiences of the subjects, the that would probably make learning easier.

    I didn't like the cross-disciplinary courses either. I hope that in the future they will think better about the courses they take. Regards!

 Michelle Soto Ñanco was born in Melipilla on November 18, 2001. At elementary school and high school, she studied at Nuestra Señora y Madre del Carmen in Melipilla.  She's studying Psychology at Universidad de Chile and It is in the first year.  Post 1: A country you would like to visit Which country would you like to go to? Why? The place I would like to visit is France Because I consider that is a place with beautiful monuments, architecture and nature. What do you know about it? I know about France that has a good and delicious gastronomy, in this country is Paris that is considered the capital of love, it  is also in Europe. What would you like to do there? I would like go to Eiffel Tower, typical food places, Palace of Versailles and Niza. Also to learn about its culture and history. I would like to visit museums and theaters. Would you like to study/ work/ live there? Explain France seems like a nice place to live, both structurally and naturally, and because of its culture. So I would like to study a postgraduate degree there, and then work and live there for a while. Why did you choose this career/study programme?

 When I was a child, I used to dream of being a veterinary. However, when I grew up I not longer wanted to be, because I could not bear to see the suffering that animals had and I did not want to perform operations on them for fear of hurting them. When I applied to university my only option was psychology, but in high school, I thought about studying medical technology. But I decided on psychology because my intention was to be able to help the well-being of people. I also had a good score on my history test, which made it easier for me to enter the university I wanted. So far I have had a good university experience, despite the fact that since it is my first year I still do not know the university due to the pandemic. The best thing about my experience has been the friends that I have found in this process. In the future I would like to work in a foundation that helps children with cancer or some type of disease that deteriorates their lives.
